In fact, everyone you know who is in great financial shape has dialed in both of these important habits.If you aren’t happy with your finances, then simply adjust your income/savings and spending habits habits. Here is how to adopt a custom?
Use these seven measures to create a habit.
1) Decide on the ONE financial habit which you would like to develop. Picking just one habit is realistic and doable, although it’s tempting to pick up 4 or 3 habits.
Here are some healthy habit notions:?
Establish $5- $25 into savings.
Bring your lunch rather than eating out. ?
Leave your cash at home when shopping and give yourself 24 hours to consider it. ?
Bring a list for shopping and place anything back not on your list.
Set up a retirement fund/401k. ?
Work with a funding for 30 days. ? 2) Write your new custom down on paper. Also include your 3 main motivators for creating the obstacles you’ll face, this new custom, and your own strategies for overcoming these obstacles.Here’s an example:?

The obstacles I shall face are:
* Getting distracted by tv at Saturday night
* Locating other things I want to buy, not in my budget
* Not having my partner’s support.
? I shall overcome these obstacles by:
* Setting an alarm for 6pm saturday night for a reminder to close off the tv
* Giving myself 24-48 hours to determine if I Truly need the impulse buy
* Asking my partner to join so we can get in shape collectively. ?
3) Commit fully to your habit, in a public way. This may mean submitting it putting up an internet journal or announcing it at the dinner table. Place yourself in a situation where you are going to be ashamed to give up on your new custom.4) Keep tabs on your progress. This implies either status updates on facebook or verbal status upgrades in the dinner table. Your family and friends are able to offer you support, so don’t shy away from those near you.
6) If you fail, figure out exactly what went wrong so you can work it in your strategy in the future.7) Reward yourself for your success.Once your new habit becomes second nature, feel free to bring a second habit by going through the exact same 7 measures.
